KoloToure has had to settle with a spot on the sidelines of Liverpool in this season as the African player has only managed to make 2 Premier League appearances for his club so far in their current campaign and for someone who is 34 years old, this is not the way that he would like to spend the last few remaining years of his career but the veteran defender has stated that he wants to continue performing with the Premier League club even beyond the conclusion of this current season.
““I would love to be part of JurgenKlopp’s plans going forward. At the age of 34 playing for Liverpool, one of the best clubs in England, it’s amazing. I couldn’t dream that I’d have been here right now and stay for many years. It’s beautiful, it’s fantastic.”
“You play at a higher level, everyone is focused. Everybody wants the best at training and the quality is high. That’s what I’m used to from the first training session, high quality and I enjoy it every time.” Liverpool’s KoloToure’s said.
The experienced defender has recently been getting more time on the pitch but this is mainly due to the vast amount of injured players in the team of JurgenKlopp which has forced the German defender on having to make rotations in his squad and having to utilize some of his back-up options.
In this season of the Premier League, 40 Liverpool players have sustained injuries which the majority of these physical problems being hamstrings.
Starting from December of 2015, these are the players who have been suffering injuries: Jose Enrique, James Milner, MamadouSakho, Jordon Ibe, Philippe Coutinho, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Rossiter, Simon Mignolet, DejanLovren, James Milner, DivockOrigi and Jordan Henderson.
Toure’s contract with Liverpool expires in the summer and he wants to remain playing with Liverpool but this will eventually be decided by the manager and a few other factors.
