KOLO HAPPY IN MANCHESTER

The Manchester city defender Kolo Toure has said that he is extremely happy with Manchester city, despite the player conducting talks with the Turkish club Galatasaray over a potential move before the end of the transfer window. Kolo Toure was a £ 16 million signing from Arsenal a few seasons ago by the former manager Mark Hughes. However, he has fallen out of favour under the regime of Roberto Mancini, which has seen him being linked with a number of clubs in the last few transfer windows. It is expected that he will finally sealed his much anticipated move away from Manchester city this time around.

The club are conducting talks with the Turkish club Galatasaray, who are prepared to pay around £ 3 million as a transfer fee. There is, however, the possibility of the deal falling through due to the transfer fee demands of the club. The player has said that he is not worried about the transfer talks with the Turkish club Galatasaray. Kolo Toure has not been included in the squad for the group stages of the Champions League. Manchester city have been paired against the likes of Real Madrid and Dortmund. The player, though, has once again maintained his commitment to the club.

“Kolo is flattered by the interest from Galatasaray but he is happy at Man City. Kolo has spoken to the manager and owners [of Manchester City] and he remains as committed to the club as the day he signed. All Kolo’s focus is on helping Manchester City be successful this season in every competition they are going for,” said his agent Saif Rubie. Due to the fact that the Turkish transfer window does not close until Wednesday evening, the player still has the ability to seal a move to Turkey.

KOLO WANTS TO STAY

Kolo Toure has said that he would continue playing for Manchester City in the upcoming season and he is not going to leave the club before the completion of his contract. Toure’s contract with Manchester City would get completed at the end of this season. There have been rumors that the Turkish Club Bursaspor has shown some interest in Toure and the Ivorian defender might take a transfer this summer. But, Toure has denied all these reports and said that he is fully committed to City at the moment.

Toure joined Manchester City in 2009 on a contract of 4 years. In his very first season for City, he was assigned the role of captaincy by Mark Hughes, who was the manager of City at that time. Toure’s first goal for City was against Fulham in a match of the League Cup. Manchester City performed decently in the 2009-10 season. But, when Roberto Mancini became the manager of City in 2010, he removed Toure as captain and appointed Carlos Tevez as the new captain of the club. However, Toure continued to feature for the first team of City in the 2010-11 season as well. In the last season, he wasn’t able to play in some matches due to the national duties. But, he was back for the later part of the season. He played 14 matches for City in the last season and he was one of the main contributors in City’s win in the Champions League.

On being asked about the Champions League victory in the last season, Toure said that it was something special. The players had been trying to win this title for so long and eventually they achieved it in the last season. That was an emotional moment for the whole team.

KOLO CAN GO

Manchester city manager Roberto Mancini has said that he is prepared to let the Ivory Coast international defender Kolo Toure leave the club in this transfer window. The Ivory Coast international joined Manchester City from Arsenal for a transfer fee of £ 16 million, but he has fell out of favour with the former Inter Milan manager in recent seasons. He has been getting very little first-team football and the unprecedented spending at Manchester city has meant that Mancini has numerous options at his disposal. There have been a lot of rumours surrounding the future of Kolo Toure and Mancini today confirmed that he will allow the defender leave the club.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season. However, the club are not prepared to let him leave on a free transfer and are thought to be holding out for £ 3 million transfer fee. Turkish club Bursaspor have been showing tremendous interest to secure the signature of the former Arsenal defender. Kolo Toure is one of the experienced members of the Manchester city squad, who has won many trophies with previous clubs. Due to the presence of players like Joleon Lescott and Vincent Kompany, Toure has been unable to feature in the first team regularly.

“It is up to Kolo to decide if he wants to go to Bursaspor or not. However, can they meet his demands? ,” Mancini said. Only a few months ago, Kolo Toure was found guilty of testing positive for a banned substance. He failed a drug test and was subsequently banned for six months from playing football. It has further decreased his rank within the Manchester City squad. Despite winning the Premier league title last season, Manchester City are yet to make any significant signings in the summer transfer window.
